VOA Interviews: Thupten Kelsang Dakpa, Tibetan Art Collective

Thupten Kelsang founded Tibetan Art Collective, a platform for emerging global young Tibetan artists to interact and collaborate. Thupten says that his work is driven by the need for making and embracing contemporary culture in the Tibetan community in exile. “Culture is dynamic and should not stagnate, but must rather evolve at its own pace in accordance with time and place,” he says. Thupten talks about Tibetan Art Collective, his thoughts on the state of Tibetan culture and his future goals.
