The Dalai Lama today began a four-day teaching on Atisha’s Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment (Jangchup Lamdron) at the Tsuk-lag Khang temple in Dharamshala.

More than 5000 devotees from 61 countries, including about 800 Chinese and Taiwanese, have converged in Dharamsala to attend the teaching requested by the International Chinese Buddhist Community.

The Tibetan spiritual leader spoke on human responsibility and religious ethics this morning. In the afternoon, he spoke about the basic teachings of Buddhism.
