Dalai Lama gives teachings to students from Southeast Asia

Tibetan spiritual leader today started a three-day teachings on Shantideva's "A Guide to the Boddhisattva's Way of Life" at the Tsuglakhang temple in Dharamsala.


Requested by a group of Southeast Asians including some Chinese, the teachings is a continuation from previous year's teachings given to Southeast Asian students. This year's teaching starts from the 5th chapter onwards.

The Dalai Lama today gave a detailed background of all faiths dating back thousands of years. He said that all the religion are working to attain a peace of mind and shared an example of a recent research that found people who lied suffering from greater stress.

The teaching is being attended by over 5000 people from 55 different countries and its also being translated in English, Chinese, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese.
